Dr.-Ing. Claire Lambriex has been working as a Senior Consultant at Consentec since April 2026. Prior to this, she was a research associate at the Institute of High Voltage Equipment and Grids, Digitalization and Energy Economics (IAEW) at RWTH Aachen University from 2021 onwards, where she most recently held the position of Chief Engineer at the Chair for Transmission Grids and Energy Economics. She studied Business Administration and Engineering with a focus on Electrical Power Engineering at RWTH Aachen University and received her doctoral degree (Ph.D.) from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in 2025. In her dissertation, Dr. Lambriex evaluated methods for the allocation of cross-zonal capacity in the context of international balancing capacity markets. At Consentec, her work focuses on various aspects of load-frequency control as well as cross-zonal electricity trading. She has extensive experience in conducting electricity market simulations and has worked on interface topics between electricity markets and grids for a wide range of clients, including energy providers, grid operators and public authorities. In addition, she is engaged in the design and development of network tariff systems as well as regulatory issues, particularly in the context of incentive regulation for electricity and gas network operators. As a native of the Netherlands, she is also proficient in Dutch and has insight into the Dutch energy system.
