Since 1999, Consentec has been your partner for technical and economic questions in the field of grid-connected energy supply. Founded as a spin-off from RWTH Aachen University, we attach great importance to a cooperative, science-based, and model-driven consulting approach. Consentec is a member of the „Forschungsgesellschaft Energie” (FGE) and „Forschungsgemeinschaft für Elektrische Anlagen und Stromwirtschaft“ (FGH). Consentec has been awarded the “Innovation through Research” seal for 2022/23 by the Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft. We actively participate in the committees of scientific associations and contribute to the energy policy debate with proposals, comments, and analyses.

Independent, well-connected, and internationally active
The shares of Consentec are privately owned by the managing directors. As an owner-managed company, we are independent of the interests of any single institution, company, or association. The wide range of our clients – including ministries and regulatory authorities, transmission and distribution network operators, energy suppliers and industry associations, think tanks, and NGOs based in European countries – guarantees our independency. We support our clients with reports and studies, quantitative analyses, and software solutions on energy market design and supply security, grid planning and operation, grid and system integration of renewable energies, as well as regulation of natural monopolies in the liberalized electricity and gas supply sectors.
In order to provide our clients with optimal consulting services, we frequently cooperate with universities, research institutions, and other consultancies, both domestically and internationally.
